The Power of Perception: How Your Thoughts About Your Audience Can Influence Sales

The thoughts you have about your audience can actually affect your sales and repel your best-fit clients or customers.

What you think shapes how you act and what you say.

For example, if you believe that people won't buy from you, it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You are selling, you don’t feel confident, you’re not 100% committed to achieving your goal.

So, how do you change this thinking pattern?

For today’s episode of the Unleash Your Ambition Podcast, I've got two powerful insights to share with you that can make a big difference in your coaching, consulting, or course business. It's all about the way you think about your audience.

Let's dive into it.

First, get super clear about who's the best fit for your offer and who's not.

I’m not talking about their demographics. It’s more effective to understand their psychographics.

I help my clients understand the psychographics of their best-fit client or customer by leveraging The Perfectly Aligned Content Method.

I developed this method years ago to help the people I work with get crystal clear on the CURRENT reality and the DESIRED reality of their best-fit client or customer in five specific areas.

Why does this matter?

It makes it so much easier to communicate in a way to repel the people who aren't the best fit to invest in your product or service and attract the people who are.

If you want to create a content marketing strategy that focuses on your best-fit clients or customers' psychographics, I  have a self-study course on this, it's The Perfectly Aligned Content Makeover.

Second, don't make assumptions about people.

You never really know what people can or cannot afford, what resources they have access to, or what they're capable of achieving. It's crucial to shift your thinking.

I have a powerful exercise to help you shift your thinking so you can better connect with your audience.

Ask yourself, "If my best-fit clients or customers are watching my videos, reading my posts, or listening to my podcast, how would I show up? And how would I make them feel?"

Your answers will transform the way you show up and communicate, so you can get the attention of your best-fit clients or customers. They will FEEL the energy behind the message you share.

Final thoughts…

There are people who watch you and consume your content without making their presence known until you say something that activates them in a way to take the leap to invest in your product or service.

When you change the way you think about the people who are in your world and change the way you share your message with a streamlined content marketing strategy, you'll repel the people who aren't the best fit to work with you and attract the people who are.
